The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has ordered the immediate suspension of the song “Mukube Paver” by Dynaso Wegoso across all media platforms, citing concerns over its content and influence on the public.
In a directive issued on April 7, 2026, UCC instructed broadcasters, internet service providers, and social media platforms to halt the airing, distribution, and promotion of the song with immediate effect.

According to the Commission, the decision follows numerous complaints from the public, with the track accused of promoting violence and triggering dangerous “challenge” trends among youths, particularly on platforms like TikTok.
The directive was signed by UCC Executive Director Nyombi Thembo, who emphasized that the song has now been officially classified as prohibited content under Regulations 45 and 46 of the Uganda Communications (Content) Regulations, 2019.
“Broadcasters and social media users are reminded that effective the date of this letter, the subject song has been classified as prohibited content,” the statement reads in part.
UCC further warned that any individual or media house found broadcasting or promoting the banned content risks legal consequences, including a fine of up to 48 currency points, imprisonment of up to two years, or both.
Meanwhile, Dynaso Wegoso has been summoned to appear before the Commission on April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The meeting is expected to address concerns raised in the preliminary findings and explore possible corrective measures to avoid further regulatory action.
