Police Reveal How Patricia Kakunda Was Killed and Robbed

Police have released new details following the reconstruction of the murder and robbery of mobile money operator Patricia Kakunda, shedding light on how the tragic incident unfolded. According to investigators, the suspects allegedly orchestrated a well-planned attack, carefully tracking Kakunda’s movements in the days leading up to the crime.

Preliminary findings indicate that the assailants identified Kakunda as a target due to the nature of her work, which involved handling cash transactions. It is believed that they monitored her routine and waited for the right moment to strike. On the day of the incident, Kakunda was reportedly ambushed by the suspects, who confronted her in a calculated move aimed at robbing her of the money in her possession.

During the robbery, Kakunda was shot, leading to her death. Police say the attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident, taking with them the stolen cash. In a shocking revelation, investigators disclosed that the suspects later regrouped and shared the stolen money in a nearby swamp, possibly in an attempt to avoid detection.

Law enforcement agencies have since intensified investigations, with several leads already being followed. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend all individuals involved in the crime, emphasizing that justice will be served.

Police have also urged members of the public, especially those in cash-handling businesses, to remain vigilant and take extra security precautions. They further called on anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigations.

The tragic killing of Patricia Kakunda has once again raised concerns over the safety of mobile money operators and the increasing cases of targeted robberies.
