Dokta Brain has come out strongly in defense of Joshua Baraka, urging fellow artists to stop criticising or competing with him at a time when his career is clearly on the rise.
Dokta Brain’s remarks come in the wake of comments made by Grenade Official, who recently downplayed Baraka’s international progress. Grenade argued that Baraka still has a long way to go before reaching the global heights of established stars like Eddy Kenzo.

He went even further, claiming that internet sensation Tenge Tenge is currently more recognisable than Baraka, a statement that quickly got backlash from fans online, many of whom labeled it disrespectful.
Stepping into the conversation, Dokta Brain made it clear that this is not the time to tear Baraka down but rather to support him. According to the producer, Baraka represents a bigger moment not just for himself, but for Uganda’s music industry as a whole.
He pointed out that Baraka is currently putting Uganda on the map, even outperforming some of East Africa’s biggest names in terms of monthly streaming numbers, including heavyweights like Diamond Platnumz and Bien.
Whatever Joshua is doing, he’s doing it for Uganda. Stop fighting him. And whoever you’re comparing him with, remember you’re older than Joshua. You can only play along, you can never fight the man of the moment.
