The Tusker Lite Neon Run has been pushed to May 8, 2026, giving runners more time to prepare for one of Uganda’s most colourful social fitness events.
The night race had initially been scheduled for April 10, but organisers say the change will allow for better planning and an improved overall experience.
Held under the theme “Ignite the Lite,” the event marks a return after a long break and remains unique as the only night run in the Tusker Lite series.
Participants will compete in 5 and 10 kilometre races, with both routes starting and finishing at Circuit Lounge in Kololo.
Route designer Julius Nkuraija says the extra time will help fine tune safety measures and improve the race setup, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for runners.

Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe says the event will maintain its vibrant atmosphere, adding that the aim is to deliver more than just a race but a memorable social experience.
The Neon Run is widely known for blending fitness with entertainment, making it a standout on Uganda’s sporting calendar.
