The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Annet Among has today morning joined family, friends and mourners at Christ Church Parish in Gulu for the funeral service of Mzee Nathan Okori Adiyo, the father of the late former Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah.
Among those in attendance are the retired Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo Chigamoi, political leaders, ministers, members of parliament, and other dignitaries who have gathered to pay their last respects.
Following the service, the cortege will proceed to Lalogi in Omoro District where a vigil will be held at the deceased’s ancestral home ahead of the burial scheduled for tomorrow March 31st, 2026.
Mzee Okori aged 92 years passed away on March 20th 2026 at St Mary’s Hospital Lacor after battling health complications for quite a long time.
