Singer and Songwriter Mudra says that as a Muslim, music is not something he fancies doing, and he would lay down his tools if he woke up with enough money.

I am Muslim, and I am proud of it. In our religion, this is not fancy.

Mudra, real name Alfa Sebunya, has been actively involved in music since around 2015. Since around 2019, he churned out several hit songs, becoming one of the top Ugandan musicians.

Shockingly, however, music, for him, is not a passion. In an interview with Mr. Henrie, Mudra stresses how money is the only motivator he does music for, but it isn’t something he would do if he were rich enough.

Mudra further revealed that his religion does not support his kind of work, and he would gladly drop it if Allah blessed him with enough money one day.

No, but I feel like I don’t need it because I didn’t come for the respect. I need money. If I got good money, you wouldn’t see me on the mic again. I have never enjoyed it; it’s not my passion. If Allah gave me money, I wouldn’t sing again. I am Muslim, and I am proud of it. In our religion, this is not fancy.
