Fifa rank: 129
Afcon Group: B
Head coach: Mario Marinca
Group Stage fixtures: Egypt [Dec 22], Angola [Dec 26], South Africa [Dec 29].
Afcon appearances: 4 [2004, 2006, 2017, 2019, 2021]
Best Afcon performance: Group Stages
How they qualified: Zimbabwe finished second in a group that was led by five-time champions Cameroon beating Kenya to that spot.
However, they won just two games in the process finishing on nine points scoring six goals and let in four.
Realistic chance at Afcon 2025? Surely, the target will be to come out of the group but it is a tough one.
Can they achieve it? They must be lethal at both ends and the results against both Angola and South Africa could determine their fate.
Who is the star of the team? It is a team with not many standout stars but Marvellous Nakamba is surely one to watch out for in this Warriors’ side.
Of the big man Knowledge Musona and Tawanda Chirewa will be the other players who could determine their fate.
