Uganda’s St Mary’s Kitende secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory against Morocco in a CAF Schools Championship 2026 encounter on Tuesday evening.
Lucky Wanyama (brace) and Owen Mukisa were on target as Uganda sealed a ticket to the semifinals of the ongoing championship.
Uganda were on the front foot from the opening minute giving Morocco early pressure in the final pool A encounter.
Wanyama fired Uganda ahead in the fifth minute giving the home boys a perfect start to the game they came in with a must-win victory.
Six minutes later, Wanyama doubled Uganda’s lead as the home boys further took control of the game.
Eight minutes into the second stanza, Uganda extended their lead as the playmaker and skipper scored the fourth goal of the day.
The victory sends Uganda to the last four teams of the ongoing schools championship.
