Former Express FC Junior Team player Faisal Mugerwa has established the Open Door Mugerwa Foundation, an initiative dedicated to supporting the underprivileged and transforming lives.
Founded in 2019, the foundation focuses on empowering communities and creating lasting change.
Mugerwa’s own struggles growing up shaped his resolve to assist those facing similar challenges.

Through the foundation, he has provided support to children in the form of education, food, and opportunities for personal growth.
To date, more than 500 children have benefited from the initiative.
As schools reopen, the foundation continues to help children acquire the necessary scholastic materials and other requirements to further their education.
“Our mission is to break cycles of poverty and unlock potential, one life at a time. We are committed to making a lasting impact,” Mugerwa said.

Uganda Cranes star Travis Mutyaba has also lent his support to the foundation, helping to motivate and inspire children to pursue their dreams.
Mugerwa says he remains committed to expanding the foundation’s reach to ensure that more young girls and boys are supported and empowered to unlock their potential and build successful careers.
