National Basketball League has announced adjustments to Friday’s fixtures following a national team call-up.
In a statement dated 19 February 2026, the league confirmed that the match between JT Jaguars and UCU Canons, originally scheduled for Friday, 20 February at 9:00 p.m., has been postponed to 3 April 2026.
The change comes after JT Jaguars guard Ian Duncan Lubwama was selected to represent the national team (Silverbacks) in the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
The statement said the decision was made in consultation with the affected clubs and stakeholders, emphasizing support for players representing Uganda on the international stage.
As part of the revised schedule, the fixture between KCCA Panthers and Sommet BC will now take place on Friday, 20 February at YMCA Wandegeya, with tip-off set for 9:00 p.m.
JT Lady Jaguars face KCCA Leopards in the first women fixture.
The Panthers will fancy their chances to record a third successive win having beaten JKL Dolphins 57-51 in their previous game on Wednesday.
Youngster Waleed Omar scored 11 points while Davis Assiimwe added 10 points in the victory.
Panthers edged the rebounding battled 49-46 and collected 15 points off the bench.
