Meron Kyomugisha took lead of the 2026 Kilembe Mines Ladies open after the first 18 holes at the par-73 Kilembe Mines Golf course in Kasese Municipality on Thursday, 9th April 2026.
The long hitting Kyomugisha scored +7 (80) during round one. Peace Kabasweka is chasing Kyomugisha by a single stroke.

Joyce Kisembo and Winnie Musuya are joint third with +10 (83) as the duo of Catherine Kwagala and Janet Kabayonga are jointly stationed in the fifth place (86 gross).
Nerimah Shaminah and Lillian Koowe are tied 7th with 88 gross. Judith Komugisha (89), Gloria Mbaguta (92) and Gloria Nanyonga (92) complete the top 11 positions.
Friday is a moving for the silver category golfers who will make 36 holes.

The bronze category has three golfers Annette Bamanya, Sarah Ainembabazi and Racheal Kabugho.
The event is a world amateur golf ranking championship.
This tournament is organized by Kilembe Mines Golf Club, Uganda Ladies Golf Union (ULGU) and supported by a number of partners as Neptune, pepsi, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Exim Bank and MTN Uganda.
