Ethiopia Coffee SC has parted ways with Ugandan striker Shaban Muhammad after less than six months at the club, the Ethiopian Premier League side announced.
The statement reads in part: “Our club Ethiopia Buna has part ways with two players. Mohammed Shaban from the attacking field and from midfield player Kirubel Desalegn, we thank the players for their time with the team and wish them all the best in their football life!”
Shaban, who joined in October 2025 on a one year deal, has struggled to make an impact at the club managing about six appearances without a goal.
Ethiopian Coffee is currently placed 13th on the 20-team log after 15 league games.

Known for his frequent moves, Shaban’s career has seen him traverse the continent, playing for major clubs like KCCA, Vipers SC, Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Al Hilal Benghazi and Al Anwar FC both in Libya.
Reports suggest he’s a subject of interest from two Ethiopian league clubs and it’s likely he may stay in Ethiopia should the deal materialize.
