A suspected love triangle turned tragic in Kiira Municipality after a 44-year-old man, identified as a Ministry of Local Government employee, was allegedly stabbed to death following a domestic altercation involving two women believed to have been in romantic relationships with him.

The deceased has been identified as Omaido Moses, a resident of Kamuli A Zone in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District.

According to a police incident report filed at Kireka Police Station under Kireka CRB 115/2026, the fatal incident happened on the morning of March 26, 2026, at around 6:00am, at Omaido’s rented apartment in Kamuli A.

Police say the events leading to the killing began the previous night, March 25, at about 8:00pm, when Oliver Agadi, described in the report as Omaido’s current girlfriend, allegedly arrived at his home and found another woman there, identified as Aliya, who is said to have been his ex-girlfriend.

“The current girlfriend alleges that it was Aliya who stabbed Omaido Moses,” the police report states.

According to the preliminary police findings, both women reportedly spent the night at the deceased’s house. Investigators say Aliya allegedly slept in the bedroom with Omaido, while Agadi Oliver slept in the sitting room.

Police further state that on the morning of the incident, as Omaido was reportedly preparing to leave for work, Aliya allegedly refused to let him go, triggering an argument that later turned violent.

“This led to an argument between the two, which escalated into a violent confrontation,” the police report reads.

Agadi Oliver, who has since been arrested to assist with investigations, reportedly told detectives that she was in the bathroom at the time of the stabbing and did not witness the actual attack.

“When she came out of the bathroom, she saw blood coming from the bedroom, but both individuals were no longer in the house,” according to police.

Police say Omaido later moved out of the house while injured, but his body was subsequently discovered along a path leading to his home, lying in a pool of blood.

Investigators say the deceased had sustained a stab wound to the lower front part of the neck, near the chest.

His body was recovered and taken to City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Police have since opened a case of murder by stabbing under SD Ref. 08/26/3/2026, and say the scene was examined and documented, while statements were recorded from witnesses.

So far, one suspect, Agadi Oliver, has been arrested to help with investigations, while Aliya is said to have fled the scene and remains at large.

Police say inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
