Hon. Mubarak Munyagwa, one of the contenders in Uganda’s 2026 presidential race, has offered words of encouragement to fellow politicians who also double as musicians; Geoffrey Lutaaya and Nina Roz advising them to stay the course in politics.
Muyagwa has urged the musicians-turned-politicians not to give up from the political scene, arguing that their persistence will eventually pay off in the long run.

Nina Roz and Geoffrey Lutaaya shouldn’t quit politics; they will eventually win.
He further advised both to stay passionate about music and politics but cautioned them against letting their celebrity status fuel entitlement or unnecessary chaos.
They should lay low and be calm about it. They shouldn’t front the tuli mu struggle campaign wherever they go as artists as it will attract too much attention.
