Etania’s Becoming Life Of The Party concert is scheduled for this Saturday, 4th April 2026. Having launched her deejaying career in 2022, it marks a milestone for her as the first female deejay to hold a concert in Uganda.
One of the most defining moments in her career arrived right in the thick of a roaring crowd, pressed against the concert barrier. Just another face among thousands, she transformed in an instant. That teary-eyed leap onto Wizkid’s stage marked her bold declaration: “I belong here.”
Etania’s hunger to transition from the periphery of the crowd to its vibrant center traded her fan-girl euphoria for the mastery that comes with commanding the energy she once felt overwhelmed by.

On Saturday, as she will etch her name in history as the first female DJ to headline a major event in Uganda, Etania understands that a star never rises alone. She’s backed by a village of family, friends, mentors, and a supportive brand that has uplifted her through the defining phases of her climb.
In an intimate rehearsal studio, Etania practices her set with her talented choreographers Mayani, Zaq, Cohen Guru, and Evans Vivo, a seasoned team dedicated to transforming her raw stage presence into choreography that is both tight and effortlessly expressive.
Under the direction of her choreographers, her squad of backup dancers has been drilling transitions for weeks, still fine-tuning them after a recent performance at the Fiesta in Nkozi.
The Fiesta was one of the first stages I ever played, where I tested my sound and built my confidence to connect with an audience. That stage became a proving ground that if I can do it here, I can do it anywhere.
When it comes to her craft behind the DJ decks, while Etania shines as a natural on the mic, her journey as a DJ demanded deliberate effort.
She credits a circle of Kampala’s mix masters, including the incredible collective at Ssese Nation, who allowed her to shadow them in cramped booths, teaching her to read the pulse of a crowd before she ever laid her hands on a Pioneer DJ deck.
“I didn’t want to just press play. I wanted to earn the right to control the crowd,” she states. Those same mentors still sit in on her prep sessions, offering quiet nods or sharp critiques as she fine-tunes the setlist that will define her debut headliner.

At the core of this circle is her relationship with Joshua Baraka. As East Africa’s hottest musical commodity, her “daddy bear” understands the pressures of the spotlight better than anyone. Together, they navigate the whirlwind of fame, keeping each other grounded and tuning out the industry’s noise.
Their partnership thrives on fun and mutual respect for their craft, reminding Etania that even as she blossoms into a brand powerhouse, she remains a woman supported by love.
However, the strongest anchor in her life is undeniably her family. Her mother, once worried about the nightlife path, now lovingly stitches custom patches onto Etania’s performance jackets and serves as the voice on the line, reminding her of her ‘why.’

Her younger siblings are her fiercest focus group, unafraid to share their honest thoughts when a transition feels “mid.”
Thus, whenever Etania steps onto a stage, she never performs alone. She carries with her the presence of a lively community that has practiced, believed, and shown up to elevate her into a cultural icon, inspiring a generation to boldly embrace their dreams and refuse to play small.
She embodies every dreamer who has dared to stand out from the background, and through sheer determination and an unwavering team supporting her unique style, she has become the Life of the Party.
Whether you’re a skeptic or a staunch believer, prepare yourself for a spectacular show on April 4th at Lugogo Hockey Grounds, where her monumental moment will unfold.
