SC Villa has bounced back to winning ways thanks to a 2-0 victory over Maroons in a Uganda Premier League match at FUFA Stadium in Kadiba.
Frank Ssebuufu and Andrew Otim scored the goals as the Jogoos recovered from back to back goalless draws against URA and Lugazi.
Ssebuufu drilled in from close range after just two minutes when Maroons goalkeeper Hassan Matovu spilled Geoffrey Gagganga’s effort.
Despite promising chances from Maroons, they failed to find a leveller.
And they were punished late in the game, with Otim at the end of a well weighed delivery from Reagan Mpande to head in the second.
The win sends SC Villa in fourth with 34 points after 17 games, four behind leaders Vipers SC.
Maroons, ninth on the 16-team log, are eight games without since beating SC Villa in the first round clash at Luzira Prisons Ground.
