Social media has reacted to a viral video of celebrated veteran music producer Didi, real name Abdul Karim Muchwa’s confession that he was HIV-free.
Producer Didi appeared in one of the videos making rounds on TikTok, confessing that he had once had HIV, but he was now virus-free after Jesus healed him.
Speaking from what looked like a microphone studio, Producer Didi gave viewers an acapella praise song for healing him and told all the doubters to ask pastors Bujingo and Bugembe Wilson to testify on his behalf.
This sparked a huge debate, with some comments calling him out for giving misleading information. They claimed that he had been adhering to his medication and was in a state where the viral load of HIV in his blood is so low that it cannot be detected by standard tests, significantly reducing the risk of transmission to others.
They cautioned him to be careful with the information that he is getting out there, which could easily discourage other HIV patients from following their prescription, while awaiting the miracle of total healing.
Didi’s confession comes shortly after he officially unveiled his new lover, Leilah Candiru, an upcoming artist from the West Nile. He shared a number of photos on social media, showing them passionately kissing.
During his TV interview, he cleared up all doubts, confirming that he was in love once again and that he was getting ready to marry her.

Didi explained that they had gone through all the necessary procedures expected of a new couple, including blood tests. Despite openly declaring that he was HIV Positive, he explained that he was adhering to his medication, which has helped him live an undetectable life.
