Lynda Ddane Defends Her Fashion Choices: “The Problem Is My Body Size”

Media personality and deejay Lynda Ddane, real name Lynda Uwamahoro Ddane, has responded to criticism of her recent dress code.

Lynda Ddane was among the highlights of the day at Etania’s concert dressed in a Patra, sparking divergent reactions from social media users, and during her TV interview, she acknowledged seeing the negative comments.

Lynda described Etania as one who expressed herself through dress code, and she particularly chose to step up at a party because of that. She revealed that 90% of the crowd at the party was dressed the same way, but trolls picked her out because of her body size.

“Their problem with me is my body size, but at the end of the day, I’m not the only one who is plus-size. I’m not going to apologize for that because I’m at a concert; you don’t expect me to wear a Mushanana. Every female deejay was wearing that; the difference was they are small, and I’m big,” she said.

Lydna accused internet trolls of always getting her videos and altering them by messing with the lighting to make her look bad, so they could get likes and clicks on their pages.

“At the end of the day, you are still broke, and I’m not. When I was small, they complained about it, and when the size came back, they complained about the thighs. You cannot make everyone happy. I’m younger than them, I’m just making more money than them,” she said.

Lynda further noted that she was past the trolls and was no longer bothered by people trying to make her feel bad about herself.
