The government has paid tribute to the late Kikuube District LC5 Chairperson, Peter Banura, with leaders highlighting his role in championing environmental protection in the district. During a requiem Mass at Christ the King Church in Kampala, the Chief Mourner, State Minister for Local Government Raphael Magyezi, who represented Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, revealed that a resolution initiated by Banura to protect Bugoma Forest has now been approved. Banura passed away last Saturday following a fatal hit-and-run crash in Butyamba Village on the Hoima–Fort Portal road. Sandrah Kahumuza reports.
