The Ugandan Communications Commission has today, 07 April 2026, suspended the controversial song ‘Mukube Paver’ published by rising musician Dynaso Wegoso following numerous complaints from different social media users.

In a statement, the Commission said it had received numerous complaints about the song’s content and influence. After reviewing the lyrics and the associated audiovisual content, they established the following;

“The song explicitly and implicitly promises, incites, and glorifies violence and aggressive conduct.

It has triggered dangerous imitation behavior, including a growing trend of harmful “challenge ” activities on platforms such as TikTok and other social media, where especially young people are mimicking and glorifying violent acts.” Read part of their statement.
