Algeria will not have midfielder Houssem Aouar at their disposal at the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations after sustaining an injury.

The Algeria Football Federation confirmed that Aouar sustained an Injury during training and has since left the Fennecs’ training camp.

In his slot, coach Vladimir Petkovic has called on Himad Abdelli. Initially left out of the squad, the Angers attacking midfielder now joins the group in Morocco.

Algeria is in Group E that has Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan.
